If victims of exposure to a toxic chemical are transported to your facility for evaluation and treatment, you may be directed to submit blood and urine samples from these patients to your nearest LRN reference lab, or to CDC, for testing.

It is your responsibility to maintain and document chain-of-custody for each of the samples while they are in your facility. In the training you will learn the proper way to do this.
