Reiter Kintz to present at preparedness summit

Wanda Reiter Kintz, director of the Office of Emergency Response and Preparedness, has been chosen as a presenter at an upcoming conference hosted by the National Association of County and City Health Officials.

The April 17-20 Public Health Preparedness Summit in Atlanta, Ga. will include Reiter Kintz’s “Case Studies: How a Public Health Laboratory Responds to Emerging Infectious Diseases and Credible Threat Events.”

The summit theme is “Strengthening National Health Security: Mastering Ordinary Responses, Building Resilience for Extraordinary Events.” It is intended for agencies who respond to emergency events such as floods, fires and chemical spills.

The early bird registration deadline for the summit is March 2.
