The Environmental Health Division of the Hygienic Laboratory in Ankeny will host an open house to give guests an inside look at the work of Iowa’s environmental and public health laboratory. The event is scheduled for Nov. 19 from 3 to 6 p.m. at the Iowa Laboratories Facility on the Ankeny campus of the Des Moines Area Community College.

The State Hygienic Laboratory at Ankeny is located in the center of the Iowa Laboratories Facility building on the Des Moines Area Community College campus.

The event is open to the public and may be of particular interest to those who work in the fields of agriculture, engineering and laboratory science, as well as clients, students and governmental officials.

The purpose of the open house is to raise awareness of the Hygienic Laboratory’s testing, services and educational resources, and its mission to improve and protect the quality of life in Iowa.
