| Project AWARE volunteers prepare to launch their boats at the south end of the Klondike Rapids on the Big Sioux, the site of a former low-head dam. People came from Arkansas, Colorado, Illinois, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, South Dakota and Wisconsin to be a part of this annual event.
