Hygienic Lab salutes public lab professionals
The work of laboratory staff who help maintain and improve health and quality of life is celebrated as part of Medical Laboratory Professionals Week April 24 – 30. The public health laboratory system is little known by many. Iowa’s state public health laboratory identifies infectious diseases, monitors contaminants in the air, water and soil, and helps save babies' lives through newborn screening.
The State Hygienic Laboratory salutes the work of our staff in every discipline of the laboratory system and that of other state public health laboratories.
