The Information Technology team at the State Hygienic Lab provides service and support
for approximately 230 staff members who work in the Ankeny, Coralville and Lakeside
Laboratory facilities.
Services provided by IT include:
- Installation, configuration and management of
computers, servers and network equipment;
- Development, deployment and support of Laboratory Information Management
software;
- Expert technical support and guidance to Hygienic Lab staff;
- Installation of application software and resolution of system integration
problems;
- Secure data backup for Hygienic Lab systems;
- Administration of IT infrastructure to ensure network data security; and
- Deployment of antivirus updates and software patches to ensure data integrity.
